Responsibilities:
- To lead the relationship between the agency and the client, taking overall accountability and responsibility for all aspects of the client’s delivery, including service levels, product quality and value commitment delivery
- To build productive and valuable senior level relationships with key client stakeholders
- To develop a solid understanding of the spoken and unspoken needs that the agency must deliver in order to meet or exceed client expectations
- To act as key point of contact for company leadership. Providing frequent and timely status updates and understanding broader developments and commitments and then cascading those down to local teams
- To effectively manage the financial management of the account, including payroll management within parameters mutually agreed with your line managers
- To actively seek opportunities to increase account profitability by selling additional services and/or identifying incremental areas for efficiencies
- To ensure that the account team have the optimum structure and talent mix, to deliver the agency objectives within the financial parameters given
- To develop and motivate your team to deliver to the best of their abilities in a collaborative, connected way
- To contribute actively to the broader Agency health and development as a key member of the China leadership
Measurement of Success (KPI)
- Account retention/development
- Delivery of contracted terms and commitments
- Employee engagement and staff attrition levels within your team
- Effective budget management
Requirements:
- A Group Account Director/Business Director, who has been in the role for a number of years.
- Solid acquisition background, with good data, production and digital experience.
- Strong management skills with proven ability to run a large team and the associated revenues that go with it.
- Demonstrate experience of being able to operate at senior client level. With the ability to build the trust and confidence of clients up to Marketing Director level.
- Be able to discuss strategic challenges and operational issues with confidence and maturity; with the ability to spot opportunities and identify how to convert these into live projects.
- Capable of planning and develop strategic marketing plans, with the ability to think creatively, develop fresh ideas and sell them with confidence.
- This is a role for someone with demonstrable experience at growing a piece of business.Someone, who is able to nurture a breath of client relationships, loves to walk the corridors, and inspires the client with their energy and enthusiasm.
- Fluent in Chinese and English, comfortable conducting business in either language
