Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the account team for both China and Hub clients
- Build strong relationships with not just clients but internal team leads (creative,production and spokes management) for the expression of ideas and smooth workflow processes.
- Engage clients with an integrated approach of brand building solutions and strategies
- Champion and lead the current portfolio of categories to ensure quality delivery of the client's brand and campaign initiatives
- Ensure business profitability and growth for the agency
- Cultivate a proactive and response driven project management culture to ensure all processes are executed flawlessly-on time, on budget and exceeding client's expectations
- Identify and anticipate project needs of client and minimizes engagement disruption through managing client engagement and ensuring client expactations are met
- Develop,challenge, mentor,motivate and retain dedicated account service personnel
- Continually develop growth opportunities by identifying new communication opportunities and initiatives for the brand, business solutions and target audience from category performance conversations with senior clients.
- Ensure approved budgets are documented and supported with all engagement paperwork
- Provide timely tracking of client budgets and collection of revenue receivables by monitoring payment of client invoices.
- Nuture career growth and development of the account director/manager/executive and indirectly contributes to the success of other team members by setting of team goals, performance coaching, cultivating skill set strength and implement succession plans within account service team.
- Support agency's goals by encouraging team's participation of agency initiatives,periodical agency seminars,guest speakers, strategic research involvement and townhall get-togethers
- Champion Mccann culture, values and way of working amongst team members.
- This role reports directly to the General Manager
Capabilities:
- Must have at least 12yrs experience in account management
- Proven track-record of at least 3yrs in leadership role
- Bachelor's degree or above in marketing, communications or other relevant graduate degree is an advantage
- Outspoken and excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong analytical,strategic abilities and problem-solving skill-set
- Creativity, inventiveness,imaginative yet sensible and visionary
- Natural leadership,decisiveness,fast learning and calm under pressure
- Ability to evaluate,identify and learn the unique opportunities and challenges of the market and also client dynamics and subtleties in which they operate
- Excellent management skills,organized,keen attention to details and meticulous.
- Sociable and good humoured
- Non-linear,fashion forward thinking and approach to beauty communciation
- Confidence-inspiring communication and presentation skills
- Chinese language proficiency is not a must but a plus
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must
